By combining computer vision, garment engineering, and machine learning, we are creating standardized measurement workflows and fit prediction systems that help transform how custom garments are designed, fitted, and manufactured.
We are seeking a Product Developer / Garment Technologist to work alongside our engineering team in developing innovative garment-based measurement solutions and apparel fit systems.
Position Overview
The Product Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and refining specialized garments used for body measurement capture and fit analysis.
This role requires expertise in garment construction, pattern development, fit evaluation, fabric behavior, and product development.
You will play a critical role in translating apparel knowledge into structured systems that support computer vision and AI-driven fit technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development
- Develop and prototype apparel products used for measurement and fit analysis.
- Create technical specifications, construction details, and garment standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate garment design with computer vision workflows.
- Evaluate garment functionality, usability, and measurement consistency.
Pattern Development & Fit Engineering
- Create and modify patterns for women's apparel and measurement garments.
- Conduct fit evaluations and identify fit-related issues.
- Define measurement points and garment landmarks for body analysis.
- Develop size standards and grading methodologies.
Fabric & Material Selection
- Research and recommend fabrics suitable for measurement accuracy and repeatability.
- Evaluate stretch, recovery, compression, and fabric performance characteristics.
- Create documentation for material specifications and testing.
Testing & Validation
- Conduct fit trials and wear testing.
- Compare manual measurements against system-generated measurements.
- Document findings and recommend improvements.
- Support product validation and iterative development.
Documentation & Process Development
- Develop technical packs, specification sheets, measurement charts, and product documentation.
- Create standard operating procedures for garment testing and evaluation.
- Maintain organized product development records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Technology, Apparel Technology, Garment Technology, Textile Technology, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in apparel product development, garment technology, technical design, pattern making, or fit analysis.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and apparel manufacturing processes.
- Experience with women's apparel development.
- Knowledge of sizing, grading, and garment measurement standards.
- Ability to create technical specifications and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with blouse development, ethnic wear, or custom apparel.
- Experience in fit engineering and garment testing.
- Familiarity with apparel CAD software such as:
- Gerber AccuMark
- Lectra
- CLO 3D
- Browzwear
- Understanding of fabric performance and material testing.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
