Assistant Psychologist Intern, Health Icons Club
Type: Paid Internship (with full-time conversion based on performance)
Stipend: ₹5000 to ₹7,500/month
Location: Remote (India)
About Us
Health Icons Club helps women resolve endometriosis, adenomyosis, and hormonal health challenges through root cause protocols not symptom management. We work with women who've been through years of failed treatments, misdiagnoses, and broken trust in the medical system. Our psychology team plays a critical role in helping these women rebuild their relationship with their own bodies.
The Role
You'll work alongside our Senior Psychologist to provide psychological support to women dealing with chronic pain, fertility anxiety, hormonal disruptions, and the emotional toll that comes with years of unresolved health conditions.
This is not a conventional therapy role. Our clients aren't coming in with textbook presentations — they come carrying shame, medical trauma, self-blame, and a deep distrust of anyone who says "I can help." Your job is to hold space for that without flinching.
What You'll Do
- Conduct 1-on-1 sessions with clients enrolled in our root cause program
- Assess psychosomatic patterns and emotional triggers linked to symptom flare-ups
- Support clients through identity shifts — from "sick woman seeking treatment" to someone who understands her body again
- Collaborate with our dieticians and protocol team to address the psychological layer of recovery
- Document session notes, flag high-risk clients, and maintain case continuity
- Contribute to building internal frameworks around emotional recovery in chronic illness
You're Right For This If
- You have an M.A. / M.Sc. in Psychology (Clinical / Counselling / Health Psychology)
- RCI registration is a plus, not mandatory at this stage
- You've worked with chronic illness, pain psychology, women's health, or psychosomatic conditions — even if informally or during internships
- You understand that a woman saying "I'm lazy" is almost never about laziness
- You're comfortable with ambiguity — our clients don't fit neat diagnostic boxes
- You can write clear session notes and communicate patterns to a cross-functional team
- You're genuinely curious about root cause health, not just mental health in isolation
This Role Is NOT For You If
- You want to apply textbook CBT to every situation and call it a day
- You're uncomfortable discussing menstruation, fertility, pain, and sexuality openly
- You need constant hand-holding or direction to take initiative
- You see this as a stepping stone while you wait for something "real"
What We Offer
- Remote-first work with a small, high-intensity team
- Direct mentorship under a Senior Psychologist
- Exposure to a unique intersection of psychology, chronic illness, and holistic health
- A culture where your clinical observations actually change protocols — not just fill files
