Clinical Coordinator
Location: BLR with willingness to travel weekly

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Clinical Coordinator is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing clinical operations, coordinating patient care services, and ensuring quality healthcare delivery at the state or district level. This role requires a qualified medical professional with strong organizational, administrative, and clinical expertise to bridge clinical care delivery with operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Operations Management
Coordinate and oversee daily clinical activities across healthcare facilities within the assigned state or district
Monitor patient care quality and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standard operating procedures
Implement and enforce clinical policies, guidelines, and best practices across all service delivery points
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, medical ethics, and patient safety standards
Conduct regular clinical audits and quality assurance assessments
Team Leadership and Supervision
Provide clinical guidance and supervision to medical staff, nurses, and allied health professionals
Coordinate staff scheduling, assignments, and workload distribution to optimize resource utilization
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to clinical team members
Facilitate training programs and continuing medical education for clinical staff
Support recruitment, onboarding, and capacity building initiatives
Patient Care Coordination
Oversee patient scheduling, appointment management, and care pathway coordination
Ensure timely and efficient delivery of clinical services and treatments
Monitor patient outcomes and implement corrective measures for quality improvement
Address patient concerns, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
Collaborate with specialists and referral centers to ensure continuity of care
Administrative and Compliance Functions
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, patient records, and regulatory reports
Ensure compliance with DPDP, data protection regulations, and confidentiality standards
Prepare periodic reports on clinical performance metrics, patient statistics, and outcomes
Coordinate with administrative teams for budgeting, procurement, and resource planning
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization projects
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison between clinical staff, patients, administration, and external stakeholders
Communicate clinical updates, policy changes, and performance metrics to relevant parties
Collaborate with public health officials and government healthcare programs
Represent the organization in clinical meetings, conferences, and community health initiatives
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports To: Program Manager
Supervises: Clinical staff including medical officers, nurses, technicians, and support personnel at the state or district level
Collaborates With: Hospital administration, public health departments, quality assurance teams, and healthcare program managers
Requirements
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements
MBBS or BDS degree from a recognized medical institution registered with Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC)
Valid medical registration and license to practice in India
Professional Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience in patient care, healthcare delivery, or clinical operations
Demonstrated experience in a clinical or healthcare setting with increasing levels of responsibility
OR
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB) in Medicine, Community Medicine, Hospital Administration, or related specialization
Experience in healthcare program management, public health initiatives, or government health schemes (e.g., PM-JAY, National Health Mission)
Prior experience in clinical coordination, team leadership, or supervisory roles
Knowledge of healthcare quality standards, accreditation processes (NABH/NABL), and regulatory compliance
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare information technology
Familiarity with district health systems, primary healthcare networks, or community health programs
Training in healthcare management, quality improvement methodologies, or clinical auditing
Publications or research contributions in clinical medicine or public health

NATURE AND DURATION OF ENGAGEMENT
Contract Type: Fixed-term appointment
Contract Duration: 1-year with possibility of extension based on performance and organizational requirements
Employment Status: Full-time position requiring commitment to regular working hours and on-call availability as needed
Probation Period: 3 months
Work Schedule: Standard clinical hours with flexibility for emergency coverage and administrative duties. May include weekend and holiday rotations as per healthcare facility requirements.
