Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Clinical Audiologist role based in Chennai. The Clinical Audiologist will perform comprehensive hearing assessments, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, impedance testing, and other diagnostic evaluations, and will interpret results to develop appropriate management plans. The role involves fitting, programming, and verifying hearing aids and assistive listening devices, providing counseling on device use and maintenance, and offering aural rehabilitation services to improve communication outcomes. The Clinical Audiologist will collaborate with speech therapists, ENT specialists, and other healthcare professionals, maintain accurate clinical records, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and participate in patient education and outreach activities. The position requires a commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Strong audiology skills, including hearing assessment, diagnostic testing, and interpretation of audiological results.
- Experience in Speech and Speech Therapy to support communication needs and coordinate care with related professionals.
- Competence in Aural Rehabilitation for adults and children, including counseling, communication strategies training, and auditory training.
- Proficiency in Hearing Aid Dispensing, including selection, fitting, programming, verification, and follow-up support for hearing devices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audiology or Speech and Hearing, with relevant professional registration or licensure as required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic patient counseling.
- Attention to detail, strong clinical documentation skills, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and manage a varied patient caseload in a clinical setting.
