About the role

The Partnerships and Development Lead is a role for a talented and ambitious climate policy and development professional to join Climate Group's dynamic team in New Delhi. Climate Group thrives on the strength of its networks and partnerships nurtured for years with corporates, government, philanthropic, and civil society organisations. This role will expand collaboration and partnership with these stakeholders to achieve Climate Group's strategic objectives in India. Corporate membership income and philanthropic funding is crucial to Climate Group's climate programs and allied initiatives in India. The incumbent will enable the organization to build on these achievements by investing in its strongest income streams, while also exploring alternative avenues including domestic philanthropy and other revenue models led through competitive bidding. The ideal candidate will bring experience of generating income from these sources, and a good understanding of their decision-making processes. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED) India, s/he will manage key internal relationships at multiple levels within the organisation, both in the region and in Climate Group's London office. Working closely and proactively with these stakeholders, the post holder is expected to support research and analyse opportunities, develop/ monitor partner and donor engagement plans, and manage ideation and development processes through from the cultivation stage to finalising the project.
