Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in New Delhi for a Climate and Health Expert. The successful candidate will work on initiatives that assess and mitigate the impacts of climate change on public health systems, develop adaptation strategies, and support capacity-building efforts. Responsibilities include managing climate-resilient health program design, conducting health impact analyses, preparing research and policy briefs, and working with cross-functional teams at ADB and external stakeholders to design and execute projects aligning with ADB’s development goals.


Qualifications

  • Expertise in Climate Change Adaptation and Public Health Policy, focusing on the intersection of environmental and health initiatives.
  • Skills in Research, Data Analysis, and Health Risk Assessments to measure climate change impacts on public health.
  • Project Design and Implementation experience within international development or governmental organizations.
  • Proficiency in Stakeholder Engagement, Communication, and Collaboration to build partnerships and facilitate cross-sector initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to climate and health is highly valuable.
  • Advanced degree in Public Health, Environmental Sciences, Climate Sciences, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in climate and health-related programs is preferred. Prior experience working in Asia or the Pacific region is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with additional Asian or Pacific languages being an asset.
