This senior leadership role sits at the heart of a high-performing retention marketing organization, overseeing multiple delivery pods and ensuring consistent excellence across client service, strategy, and execution.
You will play a key role in safeguarding client satisfaction while driving long-term retention, growth, and advocacy across a diverse portfolio of accounts.
The position blends strategic oversight with operational leadership, requiring strong command of team performance, financial health, and capacity planning.
You will act as the highest escalation point for critical client issues, ensuring swift resolution and sustained trust in client relationships.
Beyond client success, the role focuses heavily on optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and unlocking scalable growth opportunities.
This is a highly cross-functional environment where leadership, data-driven thinking, and commercial awareness come together to deliver measurable impact.
Accountabilities
- Oversee multiple delivery pods within the retention marketing function, ensuring seamless coordination between strategists and activation specialists.
- Act as the final escalation point for client issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Drive client satisfaction, retention, and advocacy through improved service delivery and strategic account growth initiatives.
- Define, track, and optimize KPIs across teams to ensure performance consistency and operational excellence.
- Manage team capacity, workload distribution, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and output quality.
- Ensure profitability targets and gross profit (GP) margins are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Identify revenue expansion opportunities within existing client accounts and optimize pod structures for scale.
- Lead, mentor, and develop managers and teams, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in retention marketing, digital marketing, or e-commerce account management roles.
- Proven experience leading and scaling multiple teams, pods, or client service departments.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to design and implement scalable, data-driven solutions.
- Solid financial acumen with experience managing P&L, GP margins, and capacity planning.
- Excellent client relationship management skills with a strong track record of driving retention and advocacy.
- Familiarity with marketing automation and retention platforms such as Klaviyo and Shopify.
- Strong operational mindset with experience improving workflows, SOPs, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Exceptional English communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex strategies clearly.
