Role Summary
As a Pod Head at Blusteak Media, you’ll operate like the head of a mini-
agency within the company. You will be responsible for profitability, clientsatisfaction, and team performance within your assigned pod.Each pod functions as a self-sustaining business unit — consisting of writers,designers, performance marketers, and account executives — and your role is
to ensure it runs efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with Blusteak’s
overall vision.
This is an entrepreneurial leadership role for someone who thrives
on ownership, accountability, and results.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
1. Profitability & Performance
Own the P&L of your pod — ensuring profit margins are maintained at or
above company targets.
Maintain pod expenses (HR + operational) at or below 50% of revenue.
Review revenue and expense data periodically and take corrective actions
where needed.
Identify unprofitable clients or inefficient workflows and propose
replacements or optimization plans.
Drive overall KPI achievement across all client accounts within the pod.
Leverage BluFunnel for reporting, campaign tracking, and client insights
to improve decision-making.
2. Client Ownership & Retention
Oversee client relationships and ensure satisfaction and renewals.
Attend client meetings, reviews, and pitches alongside the team.
Guide and mentor account executives to handle daily communications
while you provide strategic direction.
Build and implement client retention strategies to improve lifetime value
and trust.
Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for pod clients.
Ensure consistent use of BluFunnel dashboards for client reporting and
performance transparency.
3. Team Leadership & Resource Management
Lead a cross-functional pod of writers, designers, and performance
marketers.
Ensure effective collaboration between creative, content, and
performance teams.
Identify low-performing or misaligned team members and coordinate with
HR for replacements or support.
Mentor account executives to develop them into future account
managers.
Ensure Clockify accuracy and time tracking across the pod (minimum
80% accuracy).
Encourage and oversee AI adoption within the team — using AI tools for
automation, ideation, and performance optimization.
4. Project Management & Execution
Ensure smooth kick-offs for new clients with clear goals, timelines, and
ownership mapping.
Monitor ongoing projects to ensure deliverables are on schedule and
aligned with client objectives.
Manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and redistribute resources based on
urgency and impact.
Maintain updated trackers, reports, and meeting minutes.
Use BluFunnel data insights to drive project adjustments and identify
performance gaps.
5. Strategy & Creativity
Lead the strategic and creative direction for all clients within your pod.
Collaborate with the creative and performance teams to craft campaigns
that meet client KPIs.
Ensure all outputs align with the client’s brand tone, goals, and industry
best practices.
Advocate for AI-driven creativity — using tools for content generation,
analysis, and optimization.
6. Systems, Process & Communication
Implement operational systems that make the pod function like a well-
oiled machine.
Ensure all communication, reporting, and coordination happen seamlessly
between teams and departments.
Flag recurring bottlenecks or inefficiencies and work with management to
fix them permanently.
Champion AI-assisted systems and BluFunnel integrations to enhance
productivity and data visibility.
7. Collaboration & Leadership Alignment
Coordinate with other Pod Heads and department leads for resource
sharing and cross-functional support.
Report to the Director of Operations and CMO with updates on
performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities.
Work closely with the CEO when required for key client escalations or
strategic presentations.
Collaborate with the BluFunnel team to improve platform adoption, client
dashboards, and campaign data accuracy.
🔹 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Pod Profitability: Maintain 50%+ profit after operational costs.
Client Retention Rate: Minimum 85%.
Teammate Retention Rate: Minimum 90%.
KPI Achievement: 90%+ clients meeting campaign goals.
Clockify Accuracy: Minimum 80%.
Operational Efficiency: 100% projects delivered on time.
BluFunnel Adoption: 100% reporting and tracking through the platform.
AI Utilization: Minimum 3 AI-led improvements or automations
implemented per quarter.
🔹 Incentives & Growth
1% profit incentive for achieving pod profitability without hitting client
profit targets.
3% profit incentive when both pod profit and client-level profit targets
are achieved.
Additional incentive for demonstrated BluFunnel adoption and AI-led
efficiency improvements.
