About the role
The Head of IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and management of an organization s entire IT infrastructure. This includes data centers, cloud services, networks, servers, and cybersecurity frameworks. Operating within the UAE's fast-evolving digital landscape, the role ensures high availability, performance, and security of systems while supporting business continuity and compliance with local IT regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Defining and executing the IT infrastructure strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Managing and optimizing core infrastructure components including servers, networks, data storage, and cloud platforms.
- Leading a team of IT professionals to ensure effective delivery of infrastructure services and support.
- Overseeing IT security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional departments to identify and deliver infrastructure needs and improvements.
- Establishing vendor relationships and managing contracts, SLAs, and procurement of IT services and equipment.
- Monitoring system performance, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to cybersecurity and data protection standards.
- Staying updated on emerging technologies and recommending upgrades or innovations to maintain infrastructure competitiveness.
