Your Role And Responsibilities
As an IBM Client Engineering Manager, you are accountable for the overall success and execution of the Client Engineering team in the local Market or Country. You will drive the quality of the overall execution and the follow-on sales, combining knowledge of Client Engineering, IBM sales ecosystem, and understanding of client adoption patterns. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Drive Business Outcomes: Lead the Client Engineering team to deliver high-quality technical projects that drive business outcomes for clients, measured by the volume of successful projects completed and the resulting sales.
- Evangelize Client Engineering Vision: Promote the Client Engineering vision within the Market, ensuring alignment with IBM's overall strategy and goals.
- Develop High-Performing Teams: Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to staff and execute high-performing and diverse Client Engineering teams, maintaining a pipeline of talent to prevent disruptions.
- Foster Agile Culture: Cultivate an agile culture focused on client success, continuous upskilling, and knowledge sharing within the Client Engineering team.
- Ensure Successful Execution: Oversee the execution of Client Engineering projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery that meets client expectations.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Deep Expertise in Client Engineering Methodologies: Proven experience with Client Engineering / Garage method, including the "3 P's" (IBM Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud Paks, and IBM Professional Services), and understanding of client adoption patterns.
- Experience in Leading High-Performing Teams: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse, high-performing teams, including staffing, talent acquisition, and pipeline management.
- Strong Understanding of IBM Sales Ecosystem: In-depth knowledge of the IBM sales ecosystem, including sales strategies, processes, and tools.
- Expertise in Agile Culture Development: Proven experience in cultivating an agile culture focused on client success, continuous upskilling, and knowledge sharing within teams.
- Experience in Driving Business Outcomes: Successful track record of driving business outcomes through the delivery of high-quality technical projects, measured by project volume and resulting sales.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as RH OpenShift and IBM Cloud, including their applications and integration with IBM Cloud Paks and IBM Professional Services.
- Understanding of Client Adoption: Exposure to client adoption patterns and trends, with the ability to analyze and apply this knowledge to drive business outcomes.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure: Basic understanding of infrastructure and its relationship with IBM Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud Paks, and IBM Professional Services.
