Role overview
We are looking for a Client Engagement Manager who will act as the primary relationship and execution partner for OAWA’s clients, mainly Mutual Fund Distributors and Wealth Managers.
This role is not only about client servicing. It requires active involvement in understanding client businesses, supporting marketing and sales initiatives, tracking progress, conducting reviews, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring that agreed growth plans are implemented properly.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking to financial professionals, understanding their business challenges, converting discussions into action plans, and ensuring regular follow-through.
Key responsibilitiesClient relationship management
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned Mutual Fund Distributors and Wealth Managers.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and understand their business goals, challenges, client base, and growth priorities.
- Conduct regular client meetings, review calls, and follow-up discussions.
- Manage client expectations clearly and ensure timely communication on progress, delays, and required actions.
- Identify client concerns early and resolve issues proactively.
Growth program execution
- Translate client needs into clear action plans, tasks, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of client growth programs.
- Track progress across key business metrics such as AUM growth, lead generation, client engagement, marketing activity, conversion efforts, and retention initiatives.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, review notes, presentations, and action trackers.
- Ensure clients remain engaged, accountable, and aligned with the agreed execution plan.
Marketing and sales support
- Work closely with wealth managers to support their marketing and sales activities.
- Help clients improve visibility, positioning, client communication, and lead-generation efforts.
- Support the creation and execution of client-facing campaigns, presentations, reports, and sales enablement material.
- Identify opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and deeper engagement within existing client relationships.
- Provide inputs to improve OAWA’s client acquisition, onboarding, and retention processes.
Internal coordination
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, product, and leadership teams to deliver client outcomes.
- Share client feedback and market insights to improve OAWA’s offerings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client conversations, deliverables, progress, and next steps.
- Ensure CRM updates, spreadsheets, reports, and internal dashboards are maintained properly.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree, MBA, or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in financial services, wealth management, mutual fund distribution, fintech, consulting, or a B2B client-facing role is preferred.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret client data, track KPIs, and generate practical insights.
- Good understanding of business growth, client acquisition, sales funnels, and relationship management.
- Strong project management and program management skills.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills.
- Comfortable working with CRM tools, spreadsheets, presentations, and reporting formats.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and execution priorities at the same time.
- High ownership, attention to detail, and follow-through discipline.
- Willingness to work full-time from OAWA’s office in Andheri West, Mumbai.
