One of our Partner Firms is seeking an experienced Client Accounting Services Senior Associate to support and expand its growing practice.
Senior Associate - Client Account Services
Experience Level: 3-6 years
Work Hours: 3 PM IST – 12 AM IST (430 AM – 1PM ET)
Location: Ahmedabad/Delhi, India (Office/Hybrid)
Overview
The ideal candidate will have at least five 5 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, ACH and wire transfers, bank reconciliations, and preparation of accurate trial balances. This role requires a strong communicator who can work effectively with both clients and a U.S.-based engagement team.
Key Responsibilities
Work as an effective team member to accurately complete client engagements and assigned tasks, including
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations, in accordance with GAAP
- Download, categorise, and reconcile banking and credit card transactions in QuickBooks, leveraging available automation and technology tools
- Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile all balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly journal entries and support month-end close procedures
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports
- Prepare and analyse monthly and annual financial statements
- Prepare partnership and s-corporation tax returns
Skills Required
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients to gather information and resolve

- tStrong documentation skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and proactively resolve problems
- Ability to identify and communicate client and engagement issues, as well as status updates, in a timely and organized manner
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team to complete engagements accurately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Approaches projects with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability
- Highly motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience working in a mid-size public accounting firm preferred
- Prior experience working for a U.S.-based firm required
- Software proficiency including QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), Excel, and CCH Engagement
