Description
Maintain and protect our critical information, systems, and assets; build solutions; implement new software and hardware; provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain essential IT operations (on premise and Azure Cloud), including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Administer and manage the hybrid environment (on Premise and Azure Cloud) for the company especially the Azure Cloud infrastructure in: identities and governance, storage, compute resource, virtual networking, monitoring and backup resources.
- Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that’s always up and running- both on-premises and Cloud.
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptops and desktops, servers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, and security updates.
- Monitor the performance of servers, software and hardware and ensure the smooth deployment of new applications in the hybrid environment.
- Provide high-level support and technical expertise. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identi?cation, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Interact with the end users to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
- Work very closely with Managed Service Provider to help maintain servers, firewall, and security systems.
- Work very closely with Facilities to support and maintain building security systems and provide backup to fire systems.
- Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Con?gure, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot virtualization infrastructure on premise and Cloud infrastructure.
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups for the hybrid environment.
- Perform projects to evaluate all systems and identify gaps, determine most efficient and cost effective vendors, and negotiate vendor agreements
- Draft and maintain a detailed disaster recovery plan
- Draft and maintain an equipment replacement plan with cost estimates
- Maintain all conference rooms including Audio Visual equipment
- Maintain ticketing system, assigning tickets and running KPI reports
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years prior experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 2+ years prior experience as a Cloud Administrator/Engineer (Microsoft Azure).
- Experience with multiple operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, and virtualization
- Experience in desktop support and interacting with internal and external customers
- Project Management experience with ability to outline and lead IT projects
- Strong knowledge of internal infrastructure including laptops and desktops, servers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, and security updates
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues to find root cause and provide technical support
- Experience with Egnyte, Okta, ATERA and Office 365 is a plus
- Expertise in drafting equipment replacement forecasts and plans
- Ability to document a robust disaster recovery program
- Experience with IT ticketing systems required including setting KPIs and reporting on them
- Audio Visual expertise a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science strongly preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position works in an office and is exposed to the manufacturing environment which includes glass, fabrication, paint, and other manufacturing machines and processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting and standing, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs.

This position does not currently have direct reports but may in the future.
