At Clark Pacific, the Senior Product Engineer is an innovative leader who drives the development, optimization, and delivery of prefabricated building systems and product solutions. Working closely with Product Management, Business Development, and Engineering teams, this role applies advanced structural engineering expertise, creativity, and collaboration to support both current project pursuits and the development of future market-ready products. The Senior Product Engineer plays a critical role in shaping technical solutions, influencing project success, and advancing Clark Pacific’s product strategy.
Competitive Compensation Range: $115,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Design and develop productized and semi-custom prefabricated building solutions to meet current and future market needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization, and manufacturing or assembly challenges.
- Develop cost-effective structural systems, including gravity and lateral elements, with a strong understanding of building codes and client requirements.
- Partner with Business Development and Sales teams to support project pursuits through client engagement and conceptual solution development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure building systems are optimized for seismic performance and constructability.
- Deliver timely preliminary designs and schematics in support of active project pursuits.
- Facilitate the transition of awarded projects to design consultants and internal project teams.
- Build strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement within project teams.
- Lead problem-solving efforts with an innovative mindset while maintaining alignment with organizational commitments.
- Encourage constructive dialogue, mentor team members, and promote effective collaboration.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of structural design experience, preferably in high seismic regions.
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
- Registered Structural Engineer (SE) in the State of California required.

- In-depth knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel systems, including lateral force-resisting systems.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA) principles.
- Proficiency in CAD and modeling tools such as Revit or SketchUp.
- Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA, RAM, ETABS, or similar.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and standards (CBC, IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI).
- Ability to visualize and design complex systems in 3D environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Willingness to step into expanded leadership responsibilities as needed.
