Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil / Structural CAD Designer / Draftsman role based in Thane. The role involves preparing and updating detailed civil and structural drawings, construction drawings, and layout plans using CAD software in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards. The designer will coordinate closely with design engineers to translate engineering calculations and concepts into accurate drawings and models, including reinforcement detailing, steel structures, foundations, and industrial infrastructure components. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and revising drawings, maintaining drawing documentation, ensuring consistency and clarity, and supporting the engineering team during design changes and construction. The role also requires collaboration with project teams to meet deadlines, adhere to quality protocols, and ensure that deliverables are precise and construction-ready.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing for civil and structural projects.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools commonly used in structural and industrial design.
- Candidates should possess the ability to prepare and interpret Construction Drawings, including plans, sections, and details.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Design Engineering to understand and apply engineering inputs to drawings.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in industrial or infrastructure projects, especially greenfield and brownfield environments, is preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and detailing practices (e.g., concrete and steel detailing norms).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple drawing assignments within defined timelines.
