Role Overview
We are looking for a practical, self-motivated
Civil Engineer to oversee our current construction projects. Because we maintain a focused workload, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys "wearing many hats"from technical site supervision to basic project estimation and vendor coordination. You won't just be a number here; youll be the technical backbone of our builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Ensure work is being executed according to blueprints and quality standards.
- Material Management: Track material deliveries, check quality upon arrival, and manage inventory to prevent waste.
- Progress Reporting: Provide daily or weekly updates on project timelines and any bottlenecks.
- Subcontractor Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for laborers and specialized contractors (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the site remains a safe environment and follows local building codes.
- Quantity Surveying: Perform basic calculations for material orders to keep costs optimized.
Skills Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant experience.
- Experience: 13 years of experience (fresh graduates with a strong drive to learn are also welcome to apply).
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and structural plans.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, honest work ethic, and the ability to solve problems on the fly.
- Tools: Familiarity with MS Excel (for reporting) and basic project management.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients. Conduct site walkthroughs, explain technical progress in plain language, and address any concerns or questions they have.
