Job Description: Civil Quantity Estimator
Location: Ahmedabad (or as applicable)
Experience Required: Minimum 3 Years
Industry: Water Infrastructure / Building Construction / Engineering Consultancy
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Civil Quantity Estimator with experience in preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for water retaining structures, buildings, and related infrastructure projects. The candidate should have strong expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
· Preparation of detailed quantity take-offs for water retaining structures (ESR, GSR, tanks, reservoirs), buildings, and civil infrastructure works.
· Preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, rate analysis, and tender documents.
· Analysis of structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
· Detailed rate analysis for civil works including RCC, earthwork, and finishing works.
· Market rate study and cost benchmarking.
· Tendering support including preparation of estimates and evaluation of contractor bids.
· Coordination with design teams, clients, and contractors for clarifications.
Required Skills:
· Strong knowledge of quantity take-off and estimation techniques.
· Familiarity with IS codes and standard specifications.
· Good understanding of construction methodologies.
· Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately.
· Proficiency in MS Excel (must).
· Experience in estimation software/tools (preferred).
Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering
Preferred:
Experience in consultancy or contractor environment, especially in water infrastructure and building projects.
Additional Requirements:
· Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred).
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
