We are constructing a new industrial manufacturing facility in Jaipur and are looking for a highly experienced Resident Project Engineer / Owner's Representative to safeguard the owner's interests throughout the remaining construction period.
This is not a desk job and not a role for someone who has only managed projects from an office.
We are looking for a seasoned construction professional who has spent years on site, understands the realities of managing contractors, subcontractors, and unorganized labour, and has the confidence to identify mistakes, challenge poor workmanship, and ensure the project is executed correctly.
The successful candidate will work independently on behalf of the project owner and coordinate between the architect, contractor, consultants, and owner.
Engagement
- Visit the site three times per week.
- Attend additional visits during critical construction activities whenever required.
- Continue with the project until completion.
- Report directly to the owner.
- Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural, structural, and service drawings before execution.
- Monitor quality of civil, structural steel, finishing, and MEP works.
- Coordinate between the architect, contractor, consultants, and owner.
- Identify construction errors before they become costly rework.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Verify measurements before contractor bills are approved.
- Monitor material usage and identify wastage.
- Maintain site observations, quality reports, photographs, and progress updates.
- Conduct periodic review meetings with the contractor.
- Raise concerns immediately whenever quality, safety, cost, or timelines are at risk.
Ideal Candidate
- Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferred).
- 15+ years of hands-on construction site experience.
- Experience executing industrial buildings, factories, warehouses, or large commercial projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Thorough understanding of RCC, structural steel, finishing works, waterproofing, and industrial construction practices.
- Experience handling contractors, subcontractors, and labour teams.
- Strong decision-making ability and willingness to enforce quality standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
