Job details:
- Collect and prepare soil, concrete, aggregate, and bitumen samples following standard procedures and project specifications.
- Conduct soil tests such as moisture content, compaction, grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, pH, and organic content.
- Perform material tests including concrete compressive strength, aggregate testing, bitumen testing, density, and moisture analysis.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Record test data accurately, maintain logbooks, and prepare detailed test reports for review by senior staff.
- Follow quality standards and testing protocols (NABL guidelines) to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Assist in sample preparation tasks such as mixing, curing, molding, and sieving as required for different tests.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment and ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Identify testing errors, equipment issues, or anomalies and report them promptly to senior technicians or engineers.
- Support senior lab personnel in routine testing activities, quality control procedures, and efficient workflow management.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution
- .Strong understanding of basic civil engineering concepts, materials, and testing procedures
- .Knowledge of soil mechanics, concrete technology, aggregate properties, and bitumen testing methods
