Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Civil Engineering Professional located in Hosur. The role involves planning, designing, and reviewing civil engineering works related to plant infrastructure, utility systems, and industrial ceramic manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include preparing and checking engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations; supporting water resource management initiatives for the site; and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Civil Engineering Professional will assist with project scheduling, cost monitoring, and risk mitigation, while providing technical input during construction, installation, and maintenance activities. The role also includes documenting project progress, resolving site-related issues, and contributing to continuous improvement in engineering and infrastructure practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design for industrial, plant, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience or interest in Water Resource Management, including utilities, drainage, and sustainable water use at industrial sites.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills for planning, coordinating, and tracking engineering and construction activities.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors, and for preparing clear technical documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable to civil works in industrial environments.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and common civil engineering software; familiarity with MS Office for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing and project environment.
- Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, ceramics, or heavy engineering sectors is an advantage.
