The Project
This is a high-rise residential rehabilitation project in Mumbai.
Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.
You’ll Be Responsible For
MOEF/SEIAA Approvals – Preparation, Liaison & Compliance
- Plan, compile and coordinate submissions for environmental approvals/clearances (where applicable) including supporting documents, drawings, technical inputs, and consultant coordination for ToR / EIA/EMP related requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely responses to authority queries and maintain a complete audit trail of submissions and approvals.
- Support statutory inspections/meetings and coordinate documentation readiness for MOEF-related and other authority interactions as required.
- Track, compile, and support periodic/ongoing environmental compliance requirements post approval (construction and operations stage), ensuring commitments are evidenced through records, site data, and reports.
Green Building Certifications – IGBC / LEED / GRIHA (End-to-End Support)
- Lead/coordinate green rating certification delivery including feasibility inputs, strategy alignment, documentation planning, coordination, and submission packs.
- Manage documentation, coordination & docket submission for certification stages (e.g., pre certification and final certification) and ensure timely closure of review comments.
- Coordinate with architects/MEP/landscape/PMC/contractors for required evidence, drawings and narratives; ensure correct and updated base information (e.g., plot/parcel demarcation, drawings in CAD/PDF as requested by certification partners).
- Act as the point of contact with certification agencies/consultants for IGBC/GRIHA rating approvals and clarifications, ensuring document completeness and schedule adherence.
ECBC Compliance (Energy Code) – Coordination & Evidence
- Coordinate ECBC compliance approach with design consultants (envelope, HVAC, lighting, electrical & renewables), and maintain compliance documentation/checklists for authority and internal review. (ECBC establishes minimum requirements for energy-efficient design and construction.)
- Support collation of calculations, specifications, and drawings required to demonstrate compliance and respond to design-stage and construction-stage clarifications.
ESG Compliance & Reporting Support
- Support ESG deliverables by coordinating data capture and documentation across projects (environmental performance, resource efficiency, governance/compliance evidence).
- Contribute to organization-wide ESG capability-building by aligning project data and documentation to relevant frameworks and internal expectations (including learnings from ESG regulatory/framework training initiatives).
Project Delivery Support (Construction Phase)
- Ensure sustainability and compliance intent is carried through on site by coordinating with technical colleagues and monitoring implementation evidence (materials, waste handling, environmental controls, etc.).
- Support monitoring of contractor compliance on safety/environment protection provisions and maintain records required for audits/inspections.
Client/Stakeholder Interface & Communication
- Liaise with clients/consultants and attend key meetings, offering environmental and sustainability compliance inputs, and ensuring stakeholders understand scope, deliverables and documentation expectations.
- Maintain clear written communication, progress updates, and systematic document control (correspondence, submissions, evidence logs).
Commercial, Risk & Quality
- Support the sustainability/environment element of proposals—scope definition, deliverables, timelines and risk identification—particularly for approvals and certification workstreams.
- Maintain quality control of submissions and outputs, ensuring completeness, consistency, and readiness for third-party review/authority appraisal.
You’ll Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering / civil (Environmental) / Environmental Science.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications (preferred): IGBC AP, LEED AP / GA, GRIHA CP.
- 12–15 years of progressive experience in: MOEF & MPCB statutory compliances, Green building certifications, Large real estate / township / infrastructure projects.
- Proven capability to handle multiple projects independently.
