Role Description The Civil Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering works related to the company’s industrial and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing design plans, technical drawings, and specifications; coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and vendors; and conducting site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance. The role involves performing calculations and analysis for structures and stormwater systems, assisting with project scheduling and resource planning, and ensuring adherence to local regulations and standards. The Civil Engineer will also support documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Experience working as Civil Engineers on-site, including coordination with construction teams and practical problem-solving in the field.
- Skills in Planning and project coordination, including scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring progress against project milestones.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management practices, design standards, and compliance with relevant environmental and local regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency with civil engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar design tools; basic understanding of structural or hydraulic analysis software is an advantage).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and codes, and to prepare clear engineering documentation and reports.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to work in multidisciplinary teams and interact with contractors and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety and quality, and willingness to work on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area.
- Prior experience in industrial, agro-industrial, or infrastructure projects in India is preferred but not mandatory.
