Role Description This full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role is based in Gangaikondan. The Civil Engineer will plan, design, and oversee civil engineering projects related to the company’s industrial service offerings, including infrastructure for steam, heat, water treatment, compressed air, packaging, and effluent disposal systems. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, performing site assessments, coordinating with project teams and contractors, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role involves conducting technical calculations, supporting stormwater management and drainage solutions where relevant, and monitoring construction progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The Civil Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for efficiency and reliability and provide technical support during project commissioning and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering fundamentals: Candidates should possess strong skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design.
- Project planning and execution: Candidates should possess skills in Planning and coordinating civil works from concept through completion.
- Infrastructure and environmental systems: Candidates should possess experience in Stormwater Management and related site infrastructure design.
- Professional practice: Candidates should be qualified Civil Engineers with knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software and civil design tools, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Industrial/plant experience: Experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities, particularly in utilities or process infrastructure, is beneficial.
- Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and the capacity to work collaboratively on-site.
