Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and execution of civil infrastructure projects, including site development, utilities, and stormwater systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing drawings and technical documents, performing basic calculations, and coordinating with project managers, architects, and other engineers. The role involves site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and support quality and safety standards. The Civil Engineer will also assist with project scheduling, quantity estimation, and documentation needed for approvals and compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and practical understanding of core civil engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and related tools for developing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Experience or knowledge in Planning, including site planning, project scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Understanding of Stormwater Management concepts, drainage design, and relevant standards or guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) and MS Office applications.
- Ability to interpret drawings, codes, and specifications, and to conduct site inspections and basic surveys.
- Effective communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work independently with attention to detail and safety.
- Prior internship or work experience in civil infrastructure projects, particularly in urban or metropolitan settings, is an advantage.
