Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Kozhikode. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and supervising residential construction projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with local building codes. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, coordinating with architects and site supervisors, monitoring project progress, and resolving technical issues on site. The role also involves conducting site inspections, estimating materials and costs, managing stormwater and drainage systems, and liaising with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities as needed. The Civil Engineer will contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and construction practices within the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and experience applying civil engineering principles in building and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including structural design, foundation design, and layout planning for residential buildings.
- Experience in Planning and project coordination, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage design, and site grading to ensure effective water flow and minimize flooding risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with relevant Indian building codes, standards, and local regulations, particularly those applicable in Kerala.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings; proficiency in CAD or similar design software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on site.
- Prior experience in residential construction or working with builders and developers in Kerala is preferred.
