Role Description This is a full-time, Civil Engineer role based in the Ahmedabad Area. The Civil Engineer is responsible for conducting site visits, collecting field data, verifying construction progress, and preparing accurate quantity estimates for structural engineering projects. The role requires close coordination with the design team, contractors, and clients to ensure that project measurements, material quantities, and site conditions are accurately documented and reflected in project deliverables.
Key Responsiblities
- Conduct regular site visits to collect measurements and verify existing site conditions.
- Inspect structural elements and compare site execution with approved structural drawings.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and report them to the structural design team.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs (BOQ) for concrete and reinforcement steel.
- Calculate material quantities from structural drawings using manual methods and software tools.
- Prepare quantity estimation reports, material statements, and cost-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of site measurements, photographs, and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve site-related issues.
- Monitor construction progress and provide updates on completed work quantities.
- Assist in preparing tender quantities, project billing quantities, and variation statements.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety requirements during site inspections.
- Support the office team by updating project documentation and maintaining organized engineering records.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills, with experience applying engineering principles to infrastructure and site development projects.
- Candidates should be qualified Civil Engineers with a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and construction practices.
- Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in CAD and civil design software, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates should be able to work effectively on-site and in office, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and maintain a high level of professional integrity and safety awareness.
- Professional certifications, prior experience in the Greater Ahmedabad Area or similar regions, and familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes are beneficial.
