Role Description The Civil Draftsman is a full-time role responsible for preparing accurate structural and civil engineering drawings that support design, project management, and construction activities. This hybrid position is based in Delhi, with a combination of on-site office work and some work-from-home flexibility as per project needs. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating detailed technical drawings, coordinating with structural engineers and project managers, and ensuring that plans comply with relevant codes and standards. The Civil Draftsman will translate design concepts into execution-ready drawings, maintain drawing records, and assist in revisions based on site feedback and engineering reviews. The role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting documentation for approvals, and contributing to efficient, cost-effective, and safe project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Civil Engineering Drafting and Engineering Drawings, with the ability to produce clear, detailed, and standardized plans.
- Hands-on experience with Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools commonly used in civil and structural projects.
- Understanding of Civil Engineering Design principles and their practical application in structural layouts and construction detailing.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of relevant IS Codes, National Building Code, and general construction practices.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural inputs, coordinate effectively with engineers and site teams, and manage multiple drawing assignments.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work within project timelines in a hybrid work environment.
- Prior experience in structural or civil drafting for residential, commercial, or industrial projects is an advantage.
