Position Summary
The
Facility Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing miscellaneous
maintenance and repairs including but not limited to carpentry, electrical, and
plumbing tasks, and support activities related to the entire property and all
surrounding outdoor areas.
Overview of Responsibilities
●
Regularly monitor the interior and exterior of the
building and outdoor areas, perform any necessary cleaning, maintenance,
carpentry, repair work, and communicate any/all areas that may need attention
to the General Manager
●
Daily floor cleaning with special attention to
entrance, cafe, tasting room and patios
●
Conduct a daily walkthrough of all spaces to ensure
all areas are in clean, safe, and presentable condition and in compliance with
the Company’s standards, hygiene, food safety and sanitation, and board of
health regulations
●
Handle maintenance/cleanliness issues in a timely
manner and communicate to General Manager when applicable
●
Meticulously inspect, clean and stock all restrooms
verifying that everything is properly functioning
●
Inspect all lighting fixtures interior as well as
exterior
●
Inspect outside grounds for cleanliness, safety and
security
●
Ensure plantings and lawns are weed free and watered
●
Routine paint and touchup of halls and bathrooms
●
Snow removal of walkways and entrances
●
Coordinate all ordering of supplies with General
Manager
●
Attend meetings and training courses as needed
●
Follow all company policies, procedures, and
guidelines including being ready to work at scheduled shift time, in uniform,
with neat and presentable appearance
●
Perform all other reasonably assigned projects and
duties
Minimum Qualifications
● 2+ years’
experience in a facilities maintenance or repair-work role and/or equivalent
relevant experience
● Prior
experience with light carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repair
● Ability to
handle high volume workload and meet deadlines
● Working
knowledge of health regulations, sanitation procedures and ability to safely
operate equipment
● Strong work
ethic, team player, and exceptional guest service skills
● Effective
communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive
relationships with people in the scope of employment
● Aptitude to
resolve problems
● Polished
presentation
● Ability to
take direction from others
● Ability to
work both independently and in a team environment
● Ability to
work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
● Ability to perform
physical requirements of the role including standing/walking for entirety of
shift, bending, pulling, pushing, using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 75lbs.
