About the Department
The purpose of this part-time position is to assist in the management of the Inland Greens golf course and park.
This is accomplished by monitoring facility operations, developing and implementing age appropriate recreation programs and actives, and performing administrative duties. Other duties include pick up trash in and around facility, assisting with department special events, assisting in ordering supplies, and coordinating with outside agencies.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: - Minimum six months of recreation and/or golf course experience.
Other Requirements: - Class C Driver's License
- CPR/First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Notes: This is a part-time position scheduled to work no more than 19-hours per week. Selected candidate must be available to work weekends and most holidays. The selected candidate will be required to complete a post-offer driving history, drug screen, Personal and Professional Reference Checks, Fingerprint-based state and national criminal record check
This position has been identified to interact with children and must comply with NC G.S. 153A-94.2(b) requires an applicant for employment that "works with children in any capacity, must require the applicant, if offered the position, to be subject to a criminal history record check conducted by the SBI.” These checks must be conducted in accordance with G.S. 143B-1209.26(Download PDF reader), the statute which authorizes the SBI to provide a fingerprint-based state and national criminal record check to cities and counties.
Other Qualifications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly OR may require walking or standing to a significant degree.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Positions generally require work indoors in a recreation or neighborhood center and/or outdoors in a park, recreation area, or golf course.
