The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire a talented Clinical Services Administrator, BH/DS Clinician IV, to work in the Virginia Beach Child and Youth Behavioral Health department.
The ideal candidate will also have experience performing complex diagnostic and clinical planning and specialized therapy/treatment or clinical management of small treatment program in a behavioral health (BH) setting. This position oversees the Case Management unit including oversight of the Targeted Case Management team, Intensive Care Coordination, Juvenile Detention Center clinical services, Court Services Unit clinical services, and Juvenile Restoration.
Duties:
Perform prescreening, initial diagnostic interviews, service and treatment planning, case review and testing to meet client needs in compliance with State certification standards.
Provide individual group or family counseling/therapy and/or psychosocial rehabilitation intervention to meet client needs to improve client's psychosocial functioning.
Perform necessary case management functions related to service referrals, coordination of care, monitoring/follow up and case documentation in accordance with quality assurance and professional client care standards; initiate resource development in accordance with client needs to expand community services to clients; and provide case consultation, assessment, intervention and follow up to support external systems of care.
Supervise other clinical professionals and volunteers to expand services to clients and provide clinical management of a specialized treatment program within a clinical unit under the administrative direction of a Supervisor or Clinical Services Coordinator.
Perform clinical administrative functions which include, interview and train new staff members and performance evaluations on all Case Management, ICC, and JDC staff.
Provide oversight to the Supervisor I over the After-School Therapeutic Day Treatment Program.
Complete Children Services Act (CSA) purchase orders for incoming clients, ensure all signatures are complete and return orders to DHS. Complete invoicing for Restoration Services and other documentation as needed.
Oversee applications to the Children’s Initiative Fund from case management staff for those clients without Medicaid or other funding for services.
A $4,000 hiring bonus is being offered for this position. Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original full-time employment or reemployment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.
$1,000 will be awarded in the first paycheck.
$1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.
$1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the employee’s one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.
