About the Department
The City of Surprise Human Service & Community Vitality Department is looking for our next team member! The General Service Worker will support the department with daily operations of the Community Center programming, community outreach events, and community engagement. The ideal candidate requires an outgoing personality and is someone who enjoys working in group settings and shifting roles.
This position schedule will vary and may be scheduled for up to 18 hours a week with shifts expected late afternoons, nights, and weekends depending on program needs.

SUMMARY
Provides a diverse range of routine general services support to a specified department/unit. May perform clerical services, general labor work and services and/or customer services, and/or other related duties in accordance with day-to-day requirements of the specified department.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview.
