The Shoreview Community Center is a fast-paced environment with over 500,000 visitors to our facility each year. The Wave Café serves a variety of beverages, snacks and refreshments.

Shoreview employs 8-10 people to staff the Wave Café. Attendants need to be cheerful and friendly in this very visible position.

The orientation program trains new employees on how to prepare the food, operate the cash register and perform other expected duties. Shirts are provided to employees.

Position Duties

• Prepare food orders in a busy setting
• Operate cash register
• Maintain a clean work area
• Stock supplies
• Clean tables and keep lobby area neat

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to operate a cash register or willingness to learn.
• Skills in customer service.
• Ability to follow proper food handling procedures.

Other Qualifications

We're currently hiring daytime, evening and weekend hours. Regular Café hours are:

Monday - Friday: 3pm - 7pm
Saturday: 12pm - 7pm
Sunday: 12pm - 6pm
