About the Department
Under the general supervision of the Warm Mineral Springs Park Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for visitors at Warm Mineral Springs Park. The role ensures that the spring, outflow, and facilities are secure and well-maintained. This position performs routine maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment and monitors and maintains the cleanliness of the spring and outflow.
Position Duties
- Maintains the spring, including regular algae removal and outflow trimming.
- Performs buoy line maintenance, repair, and replacement.
- Inspects, cleans, and repairs entry and access ramps.
- Repairs and maintains umbrellas, landscaping, and park infrastructure.
- Responds to Warm Mineral Springs Park work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Cleans the restrooms, admission building, and other public areas.
- Tracks and stocks supplies in the proper locations.
- Adjusts, repairs, and relocates fencing as needed.
- Removes trash and debris from the spring, outflow, and park grounds.
- Monitors and maintains water quality in the spring and outflow.
- Operates and maintains equipment for spring maintenance.
- Pressure washes park surfaces, ramps, and equipment.
- Maintains detailed records of all maintenance activities, including spring water quality and equipment repairs.
- Tracks equipment warranties and manages warranty repairs.
- Operates vehicles to transport various types of materials and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skilled in the use small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems.
- Skilled in using computers for data entry.
- Skilled in the use and care of tools, materials and equipment used in the type of work outlined in the essential job duties above.
- Ability to organize and communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform routine unskilled and semi-skilled manual work.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and understand and follow oral instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.
Other Qualifications
- ·High School Diploma from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma is preferred.
- One (1) to two (2) years of work experience in similar role or any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed.
- Must have experience in pool, spa and fountain maintenance including chemical use, chemical level testing, pump, equipment maintenance, pool plumbing and all other related items.
(A comparable amount of relevant training, education and/or experience may be substituted for the above qualifications.)Licenses and Certifications:- Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver’s License by date of hire.
- First Aid, CPR/AED Certification within six (6) months of hire.
