About the Department

This part-time position requires an individual who can accept responsibility and is excellent at dealing with the public.  Individuals assigned to this position will assist customers during their visit to the facility, set-up and tear-down meeting rooms, and facility supervision duties.  The building supervisor is under the direction of the Community Facilities Superintendent and assistant manager.

Hours of Work: Average 15-25 hours per week - evening and weekend hours.   Working hours are dependent on the rental schedule and primarily 4pm/5pm-10pm Wednesdays and Thursdays and alternating weekends (Friday evening, Saturday daytime) dependent on reservations. Weekend hours vary throughout the day and usually range between 7:30am-6:00pm.

Position Duties

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service and general information to the public and coworkers to create a positive customer experience in the facility.
  • Open and close assigned facilities.
  • Follow schedule to set up meeting room chairs, tables, coffee, etc.
  • Set up audio visual equipment.
  • Light cleaning between reservations.
  • Communicate customer concerns, low inventory, building issues, etc. to supervisor.
  • Responsible for assisting customers with their use of the facility.
Other Job Functions:
  • Handle customer concerns and requests.
  • Snow removal from entrance sidewalk as necessary.
  • Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A commitment to and belief in the city of Minnetonka’s shared values.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work weekday evenings and weekend days.
  • Strong customer service background.  
  • Responsible and self-motivated.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar position.
