The City of Lynwood is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Maintenance Worker to join our Public Works team. Position Duties
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Under general supervision, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled manual labor tasks to maintain and construct City infrastructure.
Street & Public Way Maintenance: Assist in road paving, repairing curbs and gutters, and clearing storm drains.
Park & Landscape Upkeep: Perform turf maintenance, including mowing and weeding, and ensure playground equipment is safe for use.
City Restoration: Clean public right-of-ways and perform graffiti abatement and general painting to keep Lynwood beautiful.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate light, moderately heavy, and heavy power-driven equipment and City vehicles.

Other Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience: At least one year of prior experience performing heavy laboring tasks (such as street, landscape, or custodial work).
License: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
Physical Stamina: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and work in outdoor weather conditions, near moving traffic, and on uneven surfaces.
Availability: Must be available for an irregular work schedule, including "on-call," "stand-by," and emergency response.
