Under general supervision, ensures an excellent guest experience, receives payments and fees related to the Aquatics Center, works in the lobby area and assist at Splash! Food Service operations. Provides information to guests in person and over the phone and assists with facility reservations.
Position Duties

- Ensures an excellent guest experience and demonstrates effective customer service skills.
- Accepts payments for instructional fees, admissions, facility rentals, and food concessions.
- Supports in Splash! Food Service operations as assigned.
- Provides assistance to guests, which includes front gate operations and facility maintenance.
- Checks in school aged children for daily admissions, day camps, birthday parties and special events.
- Assists in facility set up for parties, swim meets and special events.
- Works during special events including children's birthday parties, youth groups, facility rentals, citywide special events, and community recreation activities.
- Assists with water park reservations, hosting duties, check-in, and food service deliveries.
- Completes sales of various membership and group/event packages.
- Monitors pool safety by ensuring each guest who enters the facility is properly wrist banded.
- Assists with reports for daily attendance, credit card, cash and check transactions.
- Works effectively with the public by explaining fees, hours of operation, services provided, etc.
- Processes retail sales of swim store merchandise.
- Assists pool personnel with emergency procedures and locating missing children.
- Adheres to City and departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Knowledge of: Basic arithmetic, Microsoft Excel and Word, and general office procedures.
Ability to: Make computations rapidly and accurately. Operate a cash register/point of sale system quickly, efficiently and accurately. Read, understand, and carry out written and oral directions. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, community groups, staff, and other agencies. Exercise good judgment, courtesy, and tact with staff and the public. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Must be at least 16 years of age and Junior standing in high school. Experience working in a food service or commercial kitchen environment is highly desirable. Previous customer service and cashier experience is highly desired. Computer skills are recommended.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:
Possession of valid CPR, AED, and first aid certificates are required within the first month of employment. Possession of a Food Handler's Certification is required within one month of employment. Certifications will be provided by the City.
Other Qualifications
Splash! Aquatics Center is open year-round. Positions require availability to work varying shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates with open availability will be given preference when hiring.
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:
Candidates will be required to pass a City administered pre-employment requirements which include live scan fingerprinting and a medical examination as part of the Selection Process. Candidates who do not pass any portion of the above processes will be disqualified and removed from proceeding in the selection process.
