SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license by date of hire.
- Must have or acquire within two (2) months of date of hire all basic level National Institute Management System (NIMS) certifications as required by the City.
- Herbicide Applicator's License in the general/basic and weed categories issued by the Texas Structural Pest Control Board is preferred.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Various equipment used will include, but not necessarily limited to, Motor vehicle, tractors with mowing attachments, mowers, weed trimmers, edgers, herbicide equipment, phone, calculator, radio, hydraulic powered equipment, safety equipment, maps, and water sampling & testing equipment as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear; and smell. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate mowing equipment and tools.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet, cold, hot, and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
