Dr. Danilov%27s laboratory investigates mechanisms of drug resistance in B-cell malignancies. Lymph nodes and bone marrow are sites where neoplastic B-cells are exposed to tumor microenvironment. Dr. Danilov’s laboratory research focuses on the role of pro-survival pathways in this setting, and how this signaling can be targeted. In addition to a variety of in vitro models of the stromal niche, Dr. Danilov’s laboratory models lymphoid disease in vivo. Dr. Danilov’s research is highly translational and involves work with primary samples from patients with lymphoid malignancies. Based on laboratory findings, Dr. Danilov%27s group originates early-phase clinical trials, allowing for verification of laboratory findings in the clinical setting.%3Cspan style=%22mso-spacerun:yes;%22%3E%26nbsp; %3C/span%3EThe lab also conducts analysis of correlative samples from patients enrolled in clinical trials.%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;mso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none;%22%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;margin-bottom:0in;mso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3ELearn more about Dr. Danilov’s lab %3C/span%3E%3Ca href=%22https://www.cityofhope.org/alexey-danilov%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3E%3Cstrong%3Ehere.%3C/strong%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;mso-add-space:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;mso-add-space:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3E%3Cstrong%3EAs a successful candidate, you will:%3C/strong%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;mso-add-space:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3EPerform primary cell culture, co-culture assays, and multi-parameter flow cytometry.%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;mso-add-space:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3EEmploy excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;mso-add-space:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3EUnder the direction of the Principal Investigator, effectively lead a project in a translational research environment in order to successfully meet project goals.%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;mso-add-space:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3EPerform and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks.%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;mso-add-space:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3EDesign and execute experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a cogent and meaningful manner.%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22line-height:normal;mso-add-space:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;%22%3EParticipate in the preparation of grant applications and publications.%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E
