Spend your summer at the center of the action at Jorgensen Park. The City of Gunnison is hiring friendly and dependable team members to run the concessions stand during softball and baseball season. You will prepare and serve food, handle transactions, and help create a welcoming experience for players, families, and fans.

You will work evening and weekend shifts, keep the stand clean and stocked, and operate a cash register with accuracy. Position Duties

General Purpose:
Shift work in the concessions stand at Jorgensen Park Softball/Baseball Complex during softball and baseball season.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hours will consist of evening and weekend shifts, providing excellent customer service to patrons while preparing and serving concessions items. Cleaning facility and complying with any state laws regarding food handling and safety. Experience in money handling and balancing a cash drawer preferred.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will require ability to work independently, maintain inventory of items, and communicate effectively with staff on needs.
Job Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:	Must be at least 16 years old and able to pass a background check.
Other Necessary Requirements:	Must be customer service oriented and possess the ability to work with public in a positive manner Ability to work a cash register, count change and calculate daily receipts. Must be physically able to perform the essential job functions including the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:	Ability to work in a sometimes fast paced environment Ability to multi-task and follow through with responsibilities Ability to handle cash and balance drawer Ability to maintain customer service standards and a positive attitude when busy or stressed MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: English Language Comprehension - Requires the ability to listen to, read, understand and communicate the English language so that others can understand. This must be done both orally and in writing, at the level appropriate for the position held.
Working Conditions
Work Environment:	The Jorgensen Park Concession Stand is located at the heart of the Jorgensen baseball field complex. This job has the potential to get very busy at times, especially before/after games and during tournament weekend.
Physical Activities:	Must be physically able to perform essential physical job functions including possessing listening skills. Ability to lift 50lbs This job requires you to be moving and on your feet most of the time
Tools and Equipment Used:		Use of kitchen appliances, computer, cash drawer.
Supervision Received:
Works under the general supervision of the Recreation Center Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
Generally, none. May supervise temporary staff or give assignments and direction to staff in training.
