About the Department
The incumbent is responsible for inspecting post-construction stormwater features and systems, documenting and reporting findings with photo data entry into inspection software, then communicating and presenting results and responses with internal teams and property owners. At the conclusion of the position, the incumbent will present the inspection findings to the Utilities Service Board.

Primary
Conducts inspections of privately owned post-construction infrastructure, reporting the results of inspections to CBU staff.
Prepares reports and communicates to private property owners describing the condition of infrastructure inspected.
Answers questions from private property owners relating to post-construction infrastructure inspections.
Uses online tracking program to document, update, and report progress of post-construction inspections and deadlines and communicates status updates to CBU Staff.
Secondary
Assists the MS4 Program Coordinator and MS4 Inspector with outfall inspections.
Assists the MS4 Program staff with stormwater sampling.
Engages in public outreach and education related to MS4 program initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with one year remaining, or equivalent knowledge and experience in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Biology.
Experience with GIS, preferred.
1-2 years of experience performing inspections, stormwater maintenance and/or data collection, preferred.

This position involves regular walking, standing. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching and moving equipment up to 30 lbs.
Will often work outdoors in various weather conditions, 1-6 hours per shift.
Personal Work Relationships
Incumbent interacts with MS4 staff, Dillman Laboratory Technicians, CBU Engineering, and Environmental staff. May respond to questions from the public.
