Work Schedule:
Full-time/short term work, not to exceed 90 days worked (estimated May-August, 2026.) 10-hour shifts, 6:30am-5:30pm w/ a one hour lunch. Schedule and duration of the assignment may vary depending on operational needs.
The City of Belgrade is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Streets Division as Short Term Worker. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of public works and maintenance tasks that support the safety and upkeep of city infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate small equipment including ATVs, UTVs, skid steers, and lawnmowers

Perform mowing and general landscape maintenance

Clear irrigation ditches and drainage pathways

Assist with asphalt patching and basic roadway repair

Perform concrete flatwork (sidewalks, curbs, etc.)

Install traffic and street signs

Paint pavement markings and assist with traffic control tasks

Perform various other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:

Ability to safely operate and maintain small power equipment

Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods

Strong work ethic and willingness to follow safety procedures

Previous experience with construction, landscaping, or municipal maintenance is a plus

Must be of legal age to perform the duties of this position (at least 18) and possess a valid driver’s license
