General Statement of Duties
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Enrichment Camp Site Director to lead the daily operations of our summer camp program. In this role, you will inspire and support counselors as they bring camp plans to life, creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where school-age children can thrive. This is seasonal employment.
The Camp Site Director actively participates in group games, crafts, outdoor adventures, and special activities, ensuring every camper feels welcomed and included. You will thoughtfully adapt activities as needed, implement accommodation plans in collaboration with inclusion staff and the coordinator, and champion full participation for campers of all abilities.
This position serves as a key connection between camp staff, campers, parents, field trip vendors, and Recreation and Parks staff. You will provide strong supervisory support to Childcare Division Administration by guiding counselors and inclusion aides, ensuring camper safety at all times, and upholding all state licensing regulations and department policies.

Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, coordinators, and staff regarding camper progress and needs
Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and departmental Health & Safety, Transportation, Field Trip, and Water Safety plans
Maintain appropriate staff-to-camper ratios and conduct required safety and emergency drills
Implement engaging lesson plans and daily schedules, adapting creatively when needed
Actively supervise campers on-site and during field trips to ensure safety, inclusion, and positive behavior
Facilitate outdoor play, group games, art projects, and team-building activities
Create a safe, respectful, and multicultural camp environment
Prepare and maintain camp spaces daily, ensuring materials and supplies are ready and organized
Communicate clearly and consistently with families regarding schedules, policies, and any incidents
Maintain accurate attendance, records, and required licensing documentation
Oversee medication handling in accordance with state regulations
Serve as a positive role model and advocate for inclusion within the community
Support staff development by observing performance, providing coaching, completing evaluations, and reinforcing positive practices
Approve and submit staff timesheets in a timely manner
Maintain confidentiality and attend all required meetings and trainings
Complete additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience facilitating enrichment programs
Experience in creating curriculums for summer programs
Experience in recreation, management , education, and youth development
All levels must have reliable transportation to various sites throughout the county and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.

Additional Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, including federal, state, and local criminal history checks, sex offender registry check, and Child Protective Services clearance. CPR and First Aid certifications must remain current, and additional state-required training must be completed as needed.

Physical Requirements
This role is active and engaging. The Camp Site Director must be able to stand, walk, run, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors for extended periods. The position requires the ability to respond quickly in emergencies and effectively communicate with campers, staff, and families.
