Athletics Program Coordinator

About the Department

The City of Aiken is seeking an Athletic Program Coordinator to join our Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department in the Athletics Division. 

Position Duties

• Develops, plans, markets, and supervises the coordination and implementation of all youth and adult athletic sports leagues, tournaments, and special events
• Schedules rental facilities, completes contracts, work requests, check requests, and diagrams for set ups
• Enforces departmental rules and regulations. Assists with interviewing, training, and supervision of part-time and seasonal staff
• Registers participants and receipts monies
• Resolves customer concerns or complaints
• Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with other City divisions, outside agencies, groups, and the general public
• Performs other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field
• A commercial driver's license (CDL) is required within a year of employment
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends
