Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cisco Network Engineer role located in the Pune Division, with a compensation range of 13 to 18 LPA and requiring 6+ years of experience. The Cisco Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related hardware and software. Daily responsibilities include monitoring network performance, diagnosing and resolving connectivity and configuration issues, and ensuring high availability and reliability of network services. The role involves implementing and maintaining network security controls, managing access policies, and supporting upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning activities. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document network architectures and changes, and ensure adherence to organizational standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Networking and Network Engineering, including experience with Cisco technologies and enterprise network design.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration, covering configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, and related infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose and resolve network performance, connectivity, and configuration issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, including implementing security policies, firewall rules, VPNs, and managing secure access controls.
- CCNA or CCNP certification (Cisco) is required; additional relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE, security-focused credentials) are an advantage.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network environments, preferably in large-scale or multi-site organizations.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools, and familiarity with ITIL or structured incident/change management processes.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco Networking technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure. Candidates must possess a valid CCNA or CCNP certification and should be capable of supporting LAN, WAN, routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and network security environments.
Required Skills
Mandatory: CCNA or CCNP Certification
3+ years of experience in Network Administration/Network Engineering
Strong knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches
Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies
Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 & Layer 3 networks
Strong understanding of Routing Protocols:
OSPF
BGP
EIGRP
Static Routing
VLAN, STP, EtherChannel, VTP configuration and troubleshooting
Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switch administration
Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) knowledge
Firewall knowledge (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, etc.)
Experience with Network Monitoring Tools:
SolarWinds
PRTG
Nagios
Cisco Prime
Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, ACLs
Experience in VPN configuration (Site-to-Site & Remote Access)
Basic knowledge of SD-WAN and Cloud Networking is an advantage
Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities
Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
Monitor enterprise network performance and ensure maximum uptime.
Troubleshoot complex LAN, WAN, VPN, and internet connectivity issues.
Implement routing and switching protocols including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
Configure VLANs, ACLs, NAT, QoS, and network security policies.
Manage firewall rules and VPN connectivity.
Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, and patch management.
Monitor network health using enterprise monitoring tools.
Analyze network logs and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for circuit issues and escalations.
Create and maintain network diagrams and technical documentation.
Participate in change management and disaster recovery activities.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
Provide L2/L3 technical support for critical network incidents.
- Work closely with server, cloud, and security teams for infrastructure projects.
