Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Cinematographer/Photographer/Editor. The role involves planning and executing shoots for film, digital campaigns, social media content, and lifestyle projects, including pre-production tasks such as shot listing, visual references, and equipment preparation. On a day-to-day basis, the professional will operate cameras, set up lighting, manage framing and composition, and capture both video and still images that align with the creative brief. The role also includes editing footage and photographs, performing color correction, adding basic motion graphics or transitions, and preparing final deliverables for multiple platforms. Collaboration with directors, producers, and creative teams to refine visual concepts, maintain consistent brand aesthetics, and meet project timelines is an essential part of this position.
Qualifications
- Strong cinematography and camera operation skills, including framing, composition, and lighting for both studio and location shoots.
- Proficient photography skills, covering portrait, product, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes imagery.
- Video editing and post-production abilities using industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Photo editing and retouching skills using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
- Understanding of visual storytelling, shot continuity, pacing, and narrative structure for film and digital content.
- Knowledge of file formats, codecs, and export settings for social media, web, and broadcast delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively with creative teams, accept feedback, and adapt visuals to evolving requirements.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a structured media library.
- Experience working in media, entertainment, advertising, or digital content production is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, photography, or related disciplines, or equivalent professional experience.
