Job Title: Full-Time Cinematographer + Video Editor
Location: Bowbazaar, Kolkata (No WFH)
Experience: At least 3 years of shooting and editing reels
In-hand Salary - 20,000 to 30,000 per month as per competence
Are you the kind of person who watches a movie and notices the lighting before the dialogue? Do you see a blank wall and think, "That needs a 50mm lens and a rim light"? If yes, grab your gear (and your creative hat) and come join us.
You will be the eyes behind the lens and the brain behind the edit. You will be working across Fashion, Healthcare, Education, Finance, and Service brands. Here is what you have to do:
The Shoot (The Fun Part):
- You will be responsible for shooting content for different brands.
- You will handle both iPhone and DSLR like a pro. We don't discriminate; all tools are welcome in your hands.
- Think before you shoot: Don't just press the record button. Think about visual appeal and "Will this go viral?" before you even say "Action!"
- Master the science of Shots, Composition, Angles, Depth of Field, Camera Movement, Framing, and Lighting. If the lighting is bad, the content is sad.
- Motivating the Speaker: Some clients are camera shy. We need you to be the on-set cheerleader who makes them feel like a movie star so they deliver their lines with confidence.
- Audio Knowledge: Because bad audio ruins good video. We need clean sound.
The Edit (Where the Magic Happens):
- Merge & Edit the clips so the story flows smoothly.
- Research and place proper B-rolls (no cheesy stock footage from 2010, please).
- Master Explainer Video Editing by making complex ideas simple through visuals.
- Knowing exactly where to put that text, emoji, or transition to make the brain go "Ding!"
- Trends Surfing: Edit as per the target audience and current trends. If Gen Z likes fast cuts and Boomers like text-on-screen, you need to know the difference.
- Song Selection: Because a great video with a bad song is just a slideshow.
- Viewers’ Psychology: You will arrange visuals in a way that keeps viewers engaged. We want people to watch the whole thing, not scroll away after 2 seconds.
- Quirkiness & Creativity: Boring editors need not apply. We want creativity tailored to the audience.
The Knowledge Base (You must know your stuff)
- Video Settings: You should know why you are shooting in 24fps vs 60fps. If someone says "Log profile," you shouldn't look confused.
- The Outcome: You should know that every shot is connected to the end goal. A fashion shoot is different from a financial advisor shoot.
- The Software Arsenal (Non-Negotiable) - Premiere Pro (Your main battlefield), After Effects (For that extra sparkle), Photoshop (For thumbnails and quick fixes), Canva (For quick social assets)
We are looking for someone who doesn't just "shoot and edit" but thinks and creates. You are the co-pilot to the Social Media Manager. If the content fails, you feel the pain. If it goes viral, you share the glory.
