Job details:
Cinematographer
Experience: 1–3 years
CTC: ₹4 – 6 LPA
The Role
We are looking for a creative and technically sound Cinematographer to capture high-quality
video content for brand, marketing, and digital campaigns. The ideal candidate should have a
good eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling, and be comfortable shooting in both studio
and on-location environments.
This is a high-volume, fast-paced role. You will be shooting regularly across a range of formats
— longform videos, short-form social content, property walkthroughs, Podcasts, brand films,
and ad creatives. You will receive detailed briefs from the Content Strategist before every shoot
and work closely with the editing and creative teams to ensure the final output matches the
intent. You need to be someone who shows up prepared, executes efficiently on set, and
consistently delivers footage that is clean, well-composed, and ready to cut.
Key Responsibilities
Shooting & Production
• Shoot high-quality videos for brand films, social media, ads, and property walkthroughs
• Handle camera setup, lighting, framing, and shot composition independently from setup
to wrap
• Capture B-roll and supporting footage alongside the primary shoot so the editing team
has everything they need
• Ensure every shot is properly exposed, in focus, well-framed, and cleanly recorded for
audio — footage handed to editors should be ready to cut, not salvaged
• Shoot short-form vertical content for social media platforms — Reels, Shorts, and quick-
turnaround clips — with an understanding of what works visually in a short-form format
• Manage on-location shoots including indoor, outdoor, and site-based environments
across Bangalore and occasionally other cities
Brief Execution & Pre-Production
• Plan and execute shoots as per scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs provided by the
Content Strategist
• Prepare equipment, shot list, and location setup in advance so shoot time is spent
shooting, not troubleshooting
• Contribute creative input on framing, angles, and visual storytelling when it adds value
to the brief — you are not just a camera operator, you are a visual thinker
• Communicate clearly if anything in the brief is unclear or technically not feasible — flag
it before the shoot, not during
Team Coordination & Handoff
• Collaborate with video editors, the creative team, and the marketing team to execute
visual concepts end to end
• Organise and label footage clearly so editors can work efficiently without needing to
chase you for files
• Support the post-production team with footage organisation, references, and any on-set
context they need to complete the edit
• Be present for feedback rounds when the edit requires clarification on the original
footage or a reshoot of a specific element
• Maintain consistency with brand visual standards across all content formats
Equipment & Technical
• Assist in setting basic colour profiles, audio capture, and exposure settings for each
shoot
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of all camera and shooting equipment —
cameras, lenses, lights, audio gear, gimbals, and rigs
• Report any equipment issues promptly so production is never held up by something
avoidable
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience as a Cinematographer or Camera Operator, with a
portfolio that demonstrates clean, well-shot video across at least two formats
• Strong knowledge of camera operations — DSLR, mirrorless, and cinema cameras
• Sound understanding of lighting techniques, shot composition, framing, and lens
selection
• Experience with gimbals, drones, tripods, sliders, and basic rigs
• Basic knowledge of video formats, codecs, and frame rates
• Working knowledge of on-location lighting — able to set up a basic interview or talking-
head setup independently
• Clean audio recording experience — lavalier mic, shotgun mic, or on-camera audio
setup
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and on tight schedules
• A showreel or portfolio link you can share at the time of application — applications
without one will not be reviewed
Good to Have
• Basic knowledge of video editing workflows and an understanding of what makes
footage easy to edit
• Understanding of social media video formats — Reels, Shorts, and YouTube — and
how visual pacing differs across platforms
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Drone flying experience — aerial footage is a strong advantage for the kind of content
we produce
What We Offer
• CTC: ₹4 – 6 LPA based on experience and portfolio quality
• Hands-on exposure to diverse shoots across brand, digital, and real estate content
• A structured content team with a dedicated strategist and editing team — you focus on
shooting, not managing the entire production pipeline alone
• Clear path to grow into a Senior Cinematographer role as the team scales
• Collaborative and creative work environment with direct access to leadership
