AI Engineer – EdTech, AI & Technology

### About the Role
The AI Engineer will be responsible for leading the vision, strategy, technology, product development, academic integration, and business growth of Chronosphere—an integrated **Academic and EdTech ecosystem**.
The role will lead the development and scaling of products including **Chrono LMS, Chrono PACE, Chrono Sense**, and future AI-powered education solutions. The leader will act as the bridge between **academic requirements, technology, product development, AI, data, and business**, ensuring that Chronosphere develops solutions that address real-world challenges faced by students, teachers, schools, and educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Leadership
* Own the complete product lifecycle of Chrono LMS, Chrono PACE, Chrono Sense, and new products.
* Convert academic and institutional problems into technology solutions.
* Define product requirements, architecture direction, feature priorities, release plans, and product roadmaps.
* Drive product-market fit, user adoption, scalability, and continuous improvement.
* Lead product pilots within MVA and convert successful solutions into scalable products for external institutions.
2. Technical Leadership
The candidate should possess strong understanding and hands-on leadership experience in:
* **AI / Generative AI / Machine Learning**
* **Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI APIs**
* **SaaS and EdTech platforms**
* **LMS and ERP integrations**
* **REST APIs and microservices**
* **Cloud infrastructure and deployment**
* **Database architecture and data management**
* **Data analytics and Business Intelligence**
* **Web and mobile application development**
* **System architecture and scalability**
* **Authentication, security, and data privacy**
* **CI/CD, Git, testing, and DevOps practices**
* **AI-powered content generation and assessment**
* **Recommendation and personalised learning systems**
The leader need not be the primary programmer but must possess sufficient technical depth to **understand architecture, evaluate technology decisions, challenge technical teams, manage vendors, and translate business/academic requirements into technology products.**
3. AI & Innovation
* Identify practical AI use cases across learning, teaching, assessment, content creation, attendance, analytics, and institutional management.
* Lead development of AI-enabled features and intelligent education solutions.
* Establish responsible AI practices, particularly around student safety, privacy, accuracy, and responsible use.
* Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and their potential application in education.
4. Academic Integration
* Work closely with academic leaders, teachers, content teams, and students to understand real educational requirements.
* Lead development of digital curriculum, lesson plans, assessments, question banks, worksheets, and multilingual content.
* Ensure technology products are academically meaningful and aligned with institutional requirements.
* Use real classroom implementation at MVA as a testing and innovation environment.
5. Team Management
* Build and lead multidisciplinary teams comprising:
* Software Developers
* AI/ML Engineers
* Product Managers
* UI/UX Designers
* Data/BI Teams
* QA Engineers
* Academic Content Teams
* Technical Support
* Define roles, KPIs, processes, and performance standards.
* Mentor teams and build a culture of innovation, ownership, and execution.
Required Experience
* 8+ years of experience in technology, EdTech, SaaS, AI/ML, product management, software development, or digital transformation.
* Proven experience in building, managing, launching, or scaling technology products.
* Experience leading technical and cross-functional teams.
* Strong understanding of software product development lifecycle.
* Experience working with AI/ML and modern cloud-based technology.
* Experience in EdTech, K–12 education, LMS, ERP, assessment platforms, or education analytics will be highly preferred.
* Experience taking a product from concept → MVP → pilot → launch → scale** will be a strong advantage.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Technology, or a related field.
An MBA/Product Management qualification combined with strong technical experience will be an added advantage.
