We are looking for an exceptional Applied Research Engineer to join our founding team and contribute to improving our in-house large language models (LLMs). In this role, you will apply cutting-edge techniques to fine-tune LLMs and implement novel ways to improve their performance on our target applications.This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of LLMs while surrounded by exceptional researchers and builders at AI2. Ideal Candidate
Several years of full-time experience in applied ML roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment like early-stage startups.

Requirements
- Prior experience in fine-tuning large language models required
- Experience in building diverse and high-quality datasets
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Exposure to or active participation in the latest research and advancements in NLP
Preferences
- Experience in code generation with LLMs
- Experience setting up infrastructure for training large deep-learning models
