Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chinese Chef at The Forest Club Resort in Karjat. The Chinese Chef will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality Chinese cuisine, developing innovative menu items, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. The role includes overseeing kitchen operations, managing inventory, ensuring timely delivery of dishes, and monitoring food quality. The Chinese Chef will also train and mentor kitchen staff on the preparation of Chinese dishes to maintain high culinary standards.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive expertise in Chinese culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation
- Strong ability to plan and innovate menus with authentic Chinese recipes and modern twists
- Knowledge of food safety standards and strict adherence to hygiene regulations in the kitchen
- Inventory management and sourcing high-quality ingredients
- Leadership skills to train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff efficiently
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to ensure seamless kitchen operations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Formal culinary training or certification specializing in Chinese cuisine is preferred
- Prior experience as a Chinese Chef in a high-end resort or hotel will be an added advantage
